We are a major producer of concrete and asphalt road construction in the Midwest & are currently looking for a highly motivated, experienced and a productive individual to join our operations as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.

Job Type: Full-Time
Minimum Years of Experience Required: 2 Years
Applicant must possess the following skills:
Perform a full range of repair and modification work on heavy equipment vehicles to include but not limited to trucks, backhoes, loaders, diesel trucks, redi-mix trucks and miscellaneous equipment.
Repair tires, wheels, wheel bearings, idler wheels, idler bearings and oil seals; replaces suspension arms, torsion bars, stabilizer bars, etc.
Able to repair hydraulic & air brake systems.
Determines nature and extent of repairs required, performs major and minor repair on engines, power transmissions, transfers and related electrical, fuel, and hydraulic components.
Uses technical manuals and other publications to identify and order repair parts.
Operates and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects.
Examines parts for damage or excessive wear, using testing equipment such as compression testers, motor analyzers, test meters, micrometers, gauges and overall strong diagnostic skills.
Tests overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency before being released to field.
Ensures equipment preventive maintaince is performed timely, thoroughly and correctly at all times.
Must have ability to teach, coach and work with team, in a constructive manner.
Willingness to perform duties outside normal scope of work (in the field, outside normal hours if neccessaryetc).
Must consistently keep shop clean & organized to promote professionalism, safety, and efficiency.
Must have urgency to make safety the main priority while working on equipment and ensuring all equipment released to the field meets or exceeds all DOT standards.
The following skills are preferred:
o Class CDL B with air brake endorsement
o Accreditation from school of mechanics or 3+ years working with heavy construction equipment
o Cutting & Welding experience
o Light fabrication skills

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
